Mike

Someplace between New London and Oshkosh, WI we went through this little town. We stopped for the picture since my brother-in-law happens to be named Mike. He's a nice enough guy that a town should be named for him.

Johann

While driving along Hwy 21 in the middle of WI I saw a sign for "Johann's Bar and Grill." Since my husband's best friend/college roommate for four years/namesake of our second son is named Johann I had to snap a picture. It's not like you see Johann on a sign everyday. I've never actually been there so I can't make any claims about the food but it might be neat little local spot to check out sometime.

Maertz

Taking this pictures meant doing a u-turn to come back to the sign but I couldn't let it pass without stopping. There are many names that I see repeatedly but either I don't' have the camera, don't know anyone with that name, or just don't take the time. This picture was different since dear friends of ours who currently live in Watertown, SD bear this last name. The sign can be found in northeastern WI on Hwy 10 between the small towns of Grimms and Reedsville.

Jeffrey

In the little town of Kranzburg, SD I found this sign. Since it's my Dad's name, my son's middle name, and my brother's middle name I even turned around to take the picture. The day I took the picture it was probably about 2 degrees and the wind was blowing like mad. Gotta love winter in the midwest.

Smith

I don't rember the name of the town where we were when I took this picture. We were somewhere in the middle of SD when I took a wrong turn or missed a turn when I looked up and noticed the street sign with our last name. If one of us had an "S" as the first initial it could have been even better. Maybe it works for someone else. :)

Lena

My husband has a cousin with the full name Magdalena but she has always been Lena to us. She is a pretty freshman in high school so I thought she'd get a kick out of the elderly Norwegian who shared her name. :)

Evan

This name will probably end up posted more than once since it's my son's name. Before naming him Evan I hardly ever heard or saw the name but now I notice it everywhere. It is also in Hot Springs, SD.
